Asia's southernmost point is on Pamana Island – a small, uninhabited island off Rote Island (population 143,764 in 2020), which in turn is off the south–western tip of Timor, in the Lesser Sunda Islands.
Papua New Guinea is entirely south of the equator, but doesn't quite reach as far south as Indonesia.
